ZOOM CLASS ON TUESDAYS!
I began my yoga journey in 1995 studying Iyengar and I've since practiced various styles (off and on) over the years. I've also attended workshops with Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldman, David Swenson and Laura Burkhart. I completed my one-year teacher training course in 2019. My personal practice now is Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow (my teacher is Connie Chapman). I teach Vinyasa 'Slow' to give students the time to set-up the pose correctly and connect with the breath. My classes are steady but challenging.
But, really, yoga is just yoga. I've come to realise that this wonderful flowing meditation is so much more than asanas.
See you on the mat!
As well as teaching yoga, I write about health & wellness. My features appear in national newspapers like The Daily Express and The Daily Mirror, and also magazines.
I recently wrote a series of features about Seated Yoga for the national press. This gentle approach, based on Hatha Yoga, is designed for people who are not able to access a typical yoga session. Like a traditional class, Seated Yoga encompasses all of the elements of a balanced practice: a warm-up, postures (asanas), breath-work (pranayama) & relaxation.
"A fabulous article. Thanks so much for giving credit to the British Wheel of Yoga."
